the barbed diamond obelisk is a mirror of itself, as though standing in a reflection pool, creating an eight sided miniature monolith covered in almost half a carat of natural white diamonds. Three faces of the obelisk feature our signature barbed setting style, encouraging you to show parts of yourself you keep hidden. The fourth face has the diamonds set traditionally as a reminder of the power of inner reflection, by artist-jeweler Tamsin Rasor

About the Artist

After studying design at the University of Westminster in London, Tamsin forged a career in fashion and home, working on product categories from apparel and accessories to electronics and beauty. Beginning in 2011, Tamsin sought out gold smithing and jewelry-making classes in her spare time and found fine jewelry to be the perfect intersection between her passions of design, engineering, technology, and fine art. In late 2020, she launched her eponymous jewelry brand with a view to building an inclusionary space that invites people in to celebrate and enjoy fine jewelry.

With a focus on versatile, playful jewelry, she creates lasting pieces, exemplifying the transformative power of wearable art. “In a world where boundaries are dissolving, I believe that fine jewelry should reflect the fluidity of our identities. My work celebrates color and the enduring allure of art deco design, infusing each piece with a sense of history while simultaneously reimagining it through a contemporary lens.”

Working in 18k gold, Tamsin collaborates with master jewelers in the heart of New York’s Diamond District, marrying the precision of tradition with the innovation of the modern age. View the complete Tamsin Rasor collection at Salt Hill Jewelry here.
