Tomi Bratland
For over 20 years, Tomi has been creating her original designs, Simple yet elegant forms of nature that are sculpted and expressed through silver, gold, and other metals to create unique pieces to be worn anywhere, and on any occasion.
Currently based in Honolulu, Hawaii, Tomi established design studio and gallery Nature Metalworks, located across from the Honolulu Museum of Art where she continues to create new designs and feature seasonal exhibitions collaborating with established local artists and craftsmen across a range of disciplines.
Tomi’s journey started with her creations featured in the jewelry artists’ corner at Le Bon Marche in Paris following participation in the international jewelry artists festival in Montpellier, France. In addition to continuously evolving her own designs, she embarked on various collaborations such as Kimono accessories for Mina Perhonen Japan, Objects of nature for the production MUJI concept book, and accessories for Jurgen Lehl Stonehouse collection.
Her works continue to be featured around the globe through various exhibitions in Asia, the USA and Europe. Recent solo exhibitions have brought her back to her roots of timelessness and simplicity in Japan, and have been featured at galleries in Ginza, Kyoto, Osaka, and Kanagawa.
